Indication:
It is mainly used for simple or complex absence seizures, myoclonic seizures, large seizures of single drug or combined treatment, sometimes for complex partial seizures also have certain curative effect

Usage and dosage:The amount of main adults: take 2-3 times daily according to the weight of 15mg/kg or 600-1200mg daily. At the beginning, it was 5-10mg/kg, and increased after a week until the attack could be controlled. When the daily dosage is more than 250mg, it should be taken in several times to reduce gastrointestinal stimulation. The maximum daily weight is no more than 30mg/kg, or 1.8-2.4g per day.
Common quantity of children: according to weight, it can be taken twice or 3 times or 15 mg/kg daily, and it can be increased by 5-10mg/kg every week as required until it is effective or intolerable.

Adverse reactions
1. The common adverse reactions were diarrhea, dyspepsia, nausea, vomiting, gastrointestinal spasm, which could cause the change of menstrual cycle;
2. Transient alopecia, constipation, drowsiness, vertigo, fatigue, headache, ataxia, slight tremor, abnormal excitement, restlessness and irritability are rare;
3. Pancreatitis and acute liver necrosis were occasionally seen after long-term administration;
4. Thrombocytopenia can lead to purpura, bleeding and prolonged bleeding time;
5. It is harmful to the liver function and causes the elevation of serum alkaline phosphatase and aminotransferase. The liver function should be checked after taking it for 2 months;
6. Occasional allergy;
7. Occasional hearing loss and reversible hearing loss.

Taboo:
It is forbidden for patients with personal or family history of drug-induced jaundice, liver disease or obvious liver function damage. It should be used with caution when there is a history of blood disease, liver disease, renal damage or organic encephalopathy.

Matters needing attention:
1. Avoid drinking alcohol during medication, which can increase the sedative effect;
2. Drug withdrawal should be gradually reduced to prevent recurrence; When replacing other anticonvulsant drugs, the dosage of this drug should be increased gradually, while the dosage of the substituted drug should be decreased gradually;

4. The whole blood cell (including platelet) count, liver and kidney function should be checked regularly before and during medication.
5. For the interference of diagnosis, the urine ketone test may be false positive, and the thyroid function test may be affected;
6. It can make LDH, ALT and AST increase slightly and indicate asymptomatic hepatotoxicity. Serum bilirubin may be elevated, suggesting potential severe hepatotoxicity.

Medication for pregnant and lactating women:
This drug can be used in placenta and animal experiments. Pregnant women should weigh advantages and disadvantages and use them carefully. The milk can be secreted in the product, with a concentration of 1% ~ 10% of the maternal blood drug. Use with caution.
