This product is a compound preparation, which consists of ampicillin sodium and sulbactam sodium. The ratio of ampicillin to sulbactam is 2:1.
Indication
This product is suitable for treating infections caused by sensitive bacteria. Typical indications include: sinusitis, otitis media, epiglottitis, bacterial pneumonia and other upper and lower respiratory tract infections; Urinary tract infection and pyelonephritis; Peritonitis, cholecystitis, endometritis, pelvic cellulitis and other intraperitoneal infections; Bacterial bacteremia; Skin, soft tissue, bone and joint infection; Gonococcal infection.
In the perioperative period, this product can also be injected to reduce the incidence of wound infection after abdominal and pelvic surgery. Wound infection can be secondary to peritoneal infection. When terminating pregnancy or performing caesarean section, sulbactam sodium and ampicillin sodium for injection can be used as preventive drugs to reduce the risk of sepsis after operation..

Usage and dosage
Adult usage
The daily common dose of sulbactam sodium and ampicillin sodium for injection is 1.5-12 g, and the equivalent dose is injected once every 6 or 8 hours. The maximum daily dose of sulbactam is 4 G. When treating mild and moderate infection, it can be injected every 12 hours.

The frequency of administration can be increased or reduced according to the severity of infection and renal function. Treatment usually lasts until 48 hours after the patient's fever or other abnormal signs return to normal. Generally, it should be treated for 5-14 days, but in case of serious cases, the course of treatment can be extended or ampicillin can be added.
When treating infection in patients with limited sodium intake, it should be noted that 1500 mg of sulbactam sodium and ampicillin sodium for injection contain about 115 mg (5 mmol) of sodium salt.
When used to prevent surgical infection, 1.5-3 g of sulbactam sodium and ampicillin sodium for injection should be given during anesthesia induction, so that the drug can reach the effective serum and tissue concentration in enough time during the operation. This dose can be repeated every 6 - 8 hours; The drug is usually discontinued 24 hours after the main surgical procedure, unless sulbactam sodium and ampicillin sodium are used for injection.
In the treatment of non complex gonorrhea, a single dose of 1.5g of sulbactam sodium and ampicillin sodium for injection can be injected. In order to prolong the plasma concentration of sulbactam and ampicillin, 1.0 g of probenecid should be taken orally at the same time.
Medication for patients with impaired renal function
In patients with severe renal impairment (creatinine clearance < 30 ml / min), the pharmacokinetic parameters of sulbactam and ampicillin were similarly affected, so the plasma concentration ratio of sulbactam and ampicillin remained constant. As with the conventional use of ampicillin, the number of administration should be reduced when treating such patients with sulbactam sodium / ampicillin sodium.
Adverse reaction
As with other parenteral antibiotics, the observed side effects were mainly injection site pain, especially intramuscular injection site pain. A few patients may have phlebitis or injection site reaction after intravenous injection.

Seizures are rarely reported in the nervous system.
Gastrointestinal nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, enterocolitis and pseudomembranous enteritis.
It has been reported in the blood and lymphatic system that anemia, hemolytic anemia, thrombocytopenia, eosinophilia and leucopenia can occur during the treatment of sulbactam sodium and ampicillin sodium. It can return to normal after drug withdrawal. It has been confirmed that the above situation is caused by allergic reaction.
Transient ALT (SGPT) and AST (SGOT) were elevated in the laboratory.
Bilirubinemia of hepatobiliary system, abnormal liver function and jaundice.
Skin and subcutaneous tissue rashes, pruritus and other skin reactions, Stevens Johnson syndrome, epidermal necrosis and erythema multiforme are rarely reported.
Interstitial nephritis is rarely reported in the kidney and urinary tract.
The adverse reactions of ampicillin alone can also be observed when sulbactam sodium and ampicillin sodium for injection are administered.
