Indication:

Usage and dosage:  The recommended dose in this item is the general principle, and the individual daily dose of the patient shall be determined according to the results of laboratory examination and clinical examination.
Because the T4 and FT4 levels of many patients will increase, the basic concentration of thyrotropin in serum is a reliable basis for the determination of treatment methods.
In addition to the importance of rapid dose increase for newborns, thyroid hormone treatment should start with low dose, and gradually increase the dosage every 2-4 weeks until the full dose is reached.
For elderly patients, coronary heart disease patients and patients with severe or long-term hypothyroidism, special attention should be paid to the initial dose (e.g. 12.5 μ g/ day) at the beginning of the treatment, and the dosage should be increased slowly over a long time interval (for example, 12.5 μ g/ day per week). It is also worth noting that if the final maintenance dose given to the patient is lower than the optimal dose, the TSH level cannot be corrected completely.
Experience shows that low dose administration is effective for patients with light weight and patients with large nodular goiter.

In the inhibition treatment of left thyroid cancer (recommended daily dose is 150-300 μ g), in order to precisely adjust the dosage of the patients, 50 μ g of this product can be used with other high-dose tablets.
The administration of the levothyroxine sodium tablet should be taken half an hour before breakfast, and a daily dose of appropriate liquid (such as half a cup of water) should be given on an empty stomach.
The full dose of this product is taken by infants at least 30 minutes before the first meal of each day. The tablets can be mashed into suspension with proper amount of water. But remember that this step should be done temporarily before taking medicine. The obtained suspension can be delivered with appropriate liquid.
In general, patients with hypothyroidism, patients after partial or total thyroidectomy, and patients who have been removed from goiter to prevent recurrence of goiter should take medicine for life. When combined with this product for hyperthyroidism, the drug delivery cycle should be the same as that of anti thyroid drugs.
For benign goiter, a 6-2-year course is necessary. In order to avoid recurrence of goiter, it is recommended to use low dose iodine (100-200 μ g) to prevent the goiter after the goiter is reduced. If these drugs are not enough to alleviate goiter, operation and radioactive iodine treatment should be considered.

Adverse reactions

If we take the medicine according to the doctor's advice and monitor the clinical and laboratory indexes, there will be no adverse reactions. If the individual's tolerated dose is exceeded or overdosed, especially due to the rapid dose increase at the beginning of treatment, the following clinical symptoms of hyperthyroidism may occur, including tachycardia, palpitations, arrhythmia, angina pectoris, headache, muscle weakness and spasm, flushing, fever, vomiting, menstrual disorders, pseudoencephaloma, tremor, restlessness, insomnia and hyperhidrosis Weight loss and diarrhea.
In these cases, the daily dose of the patient should be reduced or the drug should be stopped for a few days. Once the above symptoms disappear, the patient should carefully restart the drug treatment.
For some hypersensitive patients, allergic reactions may occur.

Taboo:

Highly sensitive to this product and its excipients.
Untreated adrenal insufficiency, pituitary insufficiency and thyrotoxicosis.
The application of this product should not start from the stage of acute myocardial infarction, acute myocarditis and acute pancarditis.
This product is not used in combination with antithyroid drugs in the treatment of hyperthyroidism during pregnancy.

Matters needing attention:

Patients should not be treated with or without treatment of the following diseases before the treatment of thyroid hormone: coronary heart disease, angina pectoris, arteriosclerosis, hypertension, hypophysis, adrenal insufficiency and autonomic high-functional thyroid tumor.
For patients with coronary heart disease, cardiac dysfunction or tachycardia, it is necessary to avoid the symptoms of hyperthyroidism caused by levothyroxine. Therefore, thyroid hormone levels should be monitored frequently in these patients.
For secondary hypothyroidism, the cause must be determined before the replacement treatment with this product. If necessary, glucocorticoid should be supplemented.
If there is suspected of autonomic high-function thyroid tumor, TRH should be performed before treatment or the anti flicker scan should be obtained.
For postmenopausal women with increased risk of hypothyroidism and osteoporosis, the left thyroxine at the level of super physiological serum should be avoided, so the thyroid function should be closely measured.
Only when anti thyroid drugs are used for hyperthyroidism, this product can be used for supplementary treatment. Otherwise, in the case of hyperthyroidism, left thyroxine should not be used alone.
Once the treatment of left thyroxine has been determined. In the case of drug replacement, it is suggested to adjust the dosage according to the clinical response and the results of the experimental examination.
This product is not allowed in rare patients with inherited galactose intolerance, Lapp lactase deficiency or glucose galactose absorption disorder.

Medication for pregnant and lactating women:
During pregnancy and lactation, special attention should be paid to continue to use thyroid hormone for treatment. The dose of this product may increase during pregnancy. So far, although pregnant women widely use this product, there is no report that this product will cause harm to Yier. In the case of high-dose levothyroxine treatment, the amount of thyroid hormone released into the milk during lactation is not enough to cause hyperthyroidism or inhibition of TSH secretion in infants.
Levothyroxine should not be combined with antithyroid drugs in the treatment of hyperthyroidism during pregnancy because levothyroxine can increase the dosage of antithyroid drugs.
Different from levothyroxine, the effective dose of antithyroid drugs can pass through the placenta, so the combination of levothyroxine treatment requires a higher dose of antithyroid drugs, which may lead to fetal hypothyroidism. Therefore, lactating women with left hyperthyroidism must be treated with antithyroid drugs alone.
