1. Typhoid and other salmonella infections: the choice of typhoid and paratyphoid caused by sensitive strains. Gastroenteritis infected by salmonella is generally not suitable for this product. If the condition is serious and sepsis is possible, it can still be used. In adult typhoid and paratyphoid salmonella infection, fluoroquinolones are the first choice (pregnant women and children should not use such drugs).
2. This product can be used as one of the drugs of choice for ampicillin-resistant Haemophilus influenzae type B meningitis or for Streptococcus pneumoniae, Neisseria meningitisae and Gram-negative bacterial meningitis in patients allergic to penicillin.
3. Brain abscesses, especially otogenic ones, are often mixed with aerobe and anaerobic bacteria.
4. Severe anaerobic bacterial infection, such as infection caused by Bacteroides fragile, is especially suitable for patients with lesions involving the central nervous system. It can be used in combination with aminoglycoside antibiotics to treat abdominal and pelvic infections to control the coexistence of aerobic and anaerobic bacterial infection.
5. Aminoglycosides are often used in combination with other low-toxicity antimicrobials for the treatment of severe infections caused by sensitive bacteria, such as Haemophilus influenzae, salmonella and other gram-negative bacilli, such as sepsis and pulmonary infection.
6. Rickettsial infection can be used for the treatment of Q fever, Rocky Mountain spot fever, endemic typhus and so on.
