1.Tetracycline tablets are the drug of choice for the following diseases :(1) rickettsial diseases, including epidemic typhus, endemic typhus, Rocky Mountain fever, scrub typhus, and Q fever.
(2) Mycoplasma infection.
(3) Chlamydia infection, including parrot fever, venereal disease, lymphoid dentition, nonspecific urethritis, salpingitis, cervicitis and trachoma.
(4) relapsing fever.
(5) brucellosis.
(6) cholera.
(7) Rabbit fever.
(8) the plague.
(9) Chancroid.
The treatment of brucellosis and plague should be combined with aminoglycosides.
2.Due to the serious resistance of common pathogenic bacteria to tetracycline at present, only when the pathogen is sensitive to tetracycline tablets, there are indications to choose such drugs.Because hemolytic streptococcus is resistant to tetracycline tablets, it should not be used in the treatment of infection caused by such bacteria.Tetracycline tablets should not be used to treat hemolytic streptococcal infections or staphylococcal infections of any type.
3. Tetracycline tablets can be used in patients allergic to penicillin for tetanus, gas gangrene, yacus, syphilis, gonorrhea and leptospirosis, as well as in patients infected with actinomycetes and Listeria monocytogenes.
[Precautions]
1. Cross allergic reaction: Various tetracycline drugs may produce cross allergic reaction.
2. Interference with diagnosis :(1) In the determination of urinary phthalamines (Hingerty method) concentrations, interference with fluorescence due to tetracycline may lead to higher results.
(2) Tetracycline tablets can increase the measured values of alkaline phosphatase, blood urea nitrogen, serum amylase, serum bilirubin, serum aminotransferase (AST, ALT).
3.Blood routine and liver and kidney function should be checked regularly during long-term drug use.
4.Drink plenty of water (about 240ml) when using tetracycline tablets to avoid esophageal ulcers and reduce gastrointestinal irritation.
5.Tetracycline tablets should be taken orally on an empty stomach, namely 1 hour before meal or 2 hours after meal, in order to avoid the influence of food on absorption.
6.Tetracycline tablets should be used with caution or avoided in the presence of the following conditions :(1) Because tetracycline tablets can cause liver damage, people with pre-existing liver disease should not use these drugs.
(2) Because tetracycline tablets can aggravate azotemia, it is not suitable to use such drugs for existing renal function impairment. If there are indications for application, careful consideration should be given, and the dosage should be reduced according to the degree of renal function impairment.
7.In the treatment of venereal diseases, if simultaneous spirochete infection is suspected, dark field microscopic examination and serological examination should be performed before medication, the latter once a month, at least 4 times.

Oral administration, adult regular dosage: 0.25 ~ 0.5g once, once every 6 hours.
