Item character: This product is an enteric coated capsule with white or quasi white enteric coated pellets.

Indication:
This product is mainly used to treat the following diseases of children and adults:

1. β- Mild or moderate respiratory tract infection caused by Streptococcus haemolyticus, Diplococcus pneumoniae and Haemophilus influenzae.
2. β- Mild or moderate lower respiratory tract infection caused by Streptococcus haemolyticus and Diplococcus pneumoniae.
3. Respiratory tract infection caused by Mycoplasma pneumoniae.
4. Pertussis caused by pertussis bacilli: erythromycin can effectively eliminate pertussis bacteria in the throat of patients. Clinical studies have shown that erythromycin can prevent pertussis infection in susceptible people.
5. Diphtheria: diphtheria is caused by toxin produced by diphtheria bacilli. Erythromycin can prevent susceptible people from becoming diphtheria carriers or eradicate bacteria in carriers.
6. Erythrotinea caused by Corynebacterium parvum.
7. Intestinal Entamoeba caused by histolytic amoeba.
8. Listeria monocytosis.
9. Mild and moderate infection of skin and soft tissue caused by Streptococcus pyogenes and Staphylococcus aureus.
10. Primary syphilis caused by Treponema pallidum: for patients allergic to penicillin, oral erythromycin can be used as an optional drug for the treatment of primary syphilis. Cerebrospinal fluid must be examined before the treatment of primary syphilis; Erythromycin is not recommended for the treatment of intrauterine syphilis.
11. The following diseases caused by Chlamydia trachomatis: neonatal conjunctivitis, infant pneumonia, urinary and reproductive system infection during pregnancy; When tetracycline is contraindicated or intolerable, erythromycin can be used to treat adult urinary, cervical and rectal infections caused by Chlamydia trachomatis.

Usage and dosage:Oral, recommended 1 hour before meals.
1. The commonly recommended dosage of this product is as follows:
Adult: 250mg (1 capsule) every 6 hours. If the drug is administered twice a day, it is recommended to take 500mg (2 tablets) every 12 hours. According to the severity of the disease, the dose can be increased to 4G per day. When the daily dose exceeds 1g, it is not recommended to take it twice a day.
Children: the common dose is 30 ~ 50mg per kilogram of body weight per day, taken twice. The dose of severe infection can be doubled.
2. Streptococcal infection: oral erythromycin takes at least 10 days. For patients with rheumatic heart disease, continuous medication is required to prevent the recurrence of streptococcal infection. The dose is 250mg (1 capsule), twice a day.
3. Penicillin allergic patients with heart valve disease take erythromycin to prevent endocarditis during dental surgery or upper respiratory surgery. Adults take 1g orally (20mg / kg for children) 1 hour before surgery and 500mg (10mg / kg for children) 6 hours after surgery.
4. Intestinal Entamoeba: adult 250mg (1 capsule), once every 6 hours for 10 ~ 14 days. Children take 30 ~ 50mg / kg / day in batches for 10 ~ 14 days.
5. Legionnaires' disease: it is recommended to take 1 ~ 4G / day in several times.
6. Urinary tract infection during pregnancy caused by Chlamydia trachomatis: it is recommended to take 500mg (2 tablets) four times a day on an empty stomach for 7 days. For intolerable patients, the dose can be reduced to 250mg (1 capsule) four times a day for 14 days. Adult urinary, cervical and rectal infections caused by Chlamydia trachomatis, when tetracycline is contraindicated or intolerable; 500mg (2 capsules) each time, 4 times a day for 7 days.
7. Pertussis: the recommended dosage is 40 ~ 50mg per kilogram per day for children, taken in three times for 5 ~ 14 days.

Adverse reactions
The common side effects were vomiting, abdominal pain, diarrhea, anorexia and other gastrointestinal reactions, which were related to the dose.
Allergic reaction: rubella, mild rash.
Temporary hearing impairment has been reported in patients with poor renal function and large dosage.
It has been reported that oral erythromycin can cause liver function damage and jaundice.

Taboo:
It is forbidden for those who are allergic to this product and other macrolides.

Matters needing attention:
Use with caution in patients with liver and kidney dysfunction. Long term use of erythromycin can lead to drug resistance or fungal infection. In case of double infection, please stop using and give correct treatment

Medication for pregnant and lactating women:
The research on rats shows that erythromycin has no teratogenic or other reproductive side effects, but there is no research on pregnant women. The research on animals can not predict the impact on people. It is suggested that pregnant women should use it with caution unless necessary.
It has been reported that erythromycin can pass through the placental barrier, but the fetal blood concentration is very low. Erythromycin can be excreted through milk and should be used with caution in lactating women.
